October is recognised worldwide as Breast Cancer Awareness Month. It is an important opportunity for individuals and communities to learn more about the disease, understand how to access screenings and, ultimately, encourage prevention.
Breast Cancer Now is a UK-based charity that funds world-class research to discover how to prevent breast cancer, save lives and help people to live well with the disease. Their ambition is to ensure that by 2050, everyone diagnosed with breast cancer lives and is supported to live well.
This year, Regent College London (RCL) is thrilled to have taken part in Wear It Pink – Breast Cancer Now’s flagship fundraiser.
On Friday 18th October 2024, RCL joined countless organisations across the UK by encouraging our staff and students to wear pink clothing and donate to our JustGiving fundraiser. Whether they were on campus or at home, we were thoroughly impressed by the RCL community’s enthusiasm for this event.
Throughout the day, we received dozens of photos from across our different campuses and even screenshots from Microsoft Teams meetings, with everyone proudly showing off their fabulous pink attire. Their commitment was incredibly heart-warming.
We are so happy to have been able to raise money to help Breast Cancer Now continue to their vital work. A huge thank you to everyone who has contributed to our fundraiser. Supporting charitable initiatives is a top priority for RCL and we look forward to running similarly rewarding events in the very near future!
