Freshers’ Week: Regent College London welcomes new students

Regent College London (RCL) is excited to announce a significant investment in a new physical library at its central London Fitzrovia campus, set to open during the 2024/25 academic year.

The initiative is part of the college’s ongoing efforts to improve the student experience and support academic success.

An enriching student experience

This investment responds directly to student feedback, highlighting the importance of providing additional on-campus resources to enhance learning and study environments.

The physical library will provide students with a dedicated space for research, study and academic growth, reinforcing RCL’s commitment to improving student learning outcomes.

A collaborative effort

RCL is working collaboratively with its academic and library partners to set up the library, ensuring it meets the diverse needs of students across all disciplines.

The new library will feature a wide range of academic resources, including textbooks, journals and digital tools, alongside spaces for quiet study and group collaboration.

Supporting academic excellence

By investing in a physical library, RCL aims to create an environment that fosters academic excellence and supports students throughout their studies.

The library will complement existing digital resources, offering both physical and digital access to a broad range of learning materials.

Selva Pankaj, CEO/Accountable Officer at RCL, commented:

“This new library is a direct response to the needs of our students. By creating a physical space dedicated to learning and research, we are investing in their academic journey and long-term success.”

Laura Mihaela, a student at RCL, commented:

“Having access to a physical library on campus will make a big difference in our ability to study and collaborate. We are excited to see this investment being made.”

Enhancing the Fitzrovia campus

The new library is part of broader developments at the Fitzrovia campus, which aims to provide students with best-in-class facilities in the heart of London.

This investment reinforces RCL’s focus on offering both a high-quality learning experience and a vibrant campus environment for students.

The library is expected to open later this academic year, offering a valuable new resource for students and supporting the college’s mission to provide outstanding educational opportunities in a central London location.
