Belgium’s Jasper Philipsen captured his third stage win of the 2024 Tour de France on Tuesday.

Philipsen, 26, followed up last week’s wins in Stages 10 and 13 with another sprint to victory in Stage 16.

The Alpecin-Deceuninck cyclist finished the 188.6-kilometer flat ride from Gruissan to Nimes ahead of Germany’s Phil Bauhaus and Norway’s Alexander Kristoff.

Slovenia’s Tadej Pogacar retained the overall leader’s yellow jersey. Eritrea’s Biniam Girmay kept the green jersey despite a crash in the final 2 kilometers, with teammates ushering him across the finish line.

The Tour de France resumes Wednesday with Stage 17, a 177.8-kilometer trek from Saint-Paul-Trois-Chateaux to SuperDevoluy, a ski resort community in the French Alps.
